Time Zones in B4

Today in Base 4, we became global geographers as we explored the fascinating concept of time zones.

Using atlases, the children worked collaboratively to locate different countries around the world and identify which time zone they fall into. We discussed how the Earth rotates on its axis and how this creates day and night in different parts of the world at different times.

The children were brilliant at using the index in their atlases to find specific countries before carefully studying the time zone maps. We noticed that some countries share the same time zone, while others span across more than one!
