Children are admitted in to school in the September following their fourth birthday for the start of their primary schooling. ALL parents must contact the Cheshire East School Admissions for a school place at Wrenbury Primary School for their child.
For more information see our Transition page.
All Admission arrangements are made by the local authority's Admissions Team based at:
Cheshire East Borough Council
Delamere House (EC)
Parents may phone the Contact Centre on Telephone 0300 123 5012 or via e-mail at email@example.com to obtain a booklet and form. Booklets and application forms will be available from mid September and will need to be returned by mid January.
All parents are notified of an allocated place for their child by the county office in April.
NOTE: Wrenbury Primary School does not select its pupils. All applications for a school place have to be made through Cheshire East School Admissions. We have a PAN of 20 pupils per year group. Any appeals for a place are made to the local authority.
There are a number of reasons why a child who has started school at another primary setting may look to join Wrenbury Primary School including the family relocating. Where the reason for looking at Wrenbury is due to concerns around a child's education or experience at their current setting, it is important for transparency and for the parents to share their concerns with their child's current head teacher to look for a resolution. Where this isn't possible, an in-year admission request can be made through the local authority's Admissions Team (see above contact information).
