We have had a busy few weeks in Little Wrens.

To ignite our understanding of the world, we have been planting bean seeds and exploring signs of spring. We have planted some of our bean seeds in clear plastic bags and jars so that we can observe changes to the bean.

In our literacy sessions, we have used actions to help us to recall and retell our story Jasper's Beanstalk and we have enjoyed activities to support us to sequence the story.

To enhance our physical development, we have continued to develop our ball skills. I can definitely see some future football stars amongst us! We have also been threading, printing and stamping to support our fine motor development.

In our mathematics sessions, we have met numbers 4 and 5. We have looked at different ways that we can represent these numbers and have sang many number rhymes to support developing composition of these numbers.

During our phonics sessions, we have revisited the sounds, 's,a,t,p,i,n'. We are gaining confidence each day in hearing these initial sounds in words. We have also played lots of games to support us hearing the blend in a cvc word – great job Little Wrens!

During our myhappymind sessions, we have been exploring ways to show and be thankful.

Next week, we will round up our learning on Jasper's Beanstalk and explore the festival, Easter. We will also welcome our new starters for their settling in sessions. – we are looking forward to meeting you all.

Have a great weekend Little Wrens
