Over the last couple of weeks, Base 5 have been working on a letter to Earth. They have been considering the impact of humans on our planet and have written a letter of apology. In this letter they have focused on how to use grammar, punctation and word choices to have a powerful impact on the reader. The children have been very engaged in this and have done a great job at developing their writing and supporting their classmates to do so too. Well done all.

In geography the children, after considering a range of evidence, decided upon the use of an embankment dam for their regeneration project and have put together a presentation for the villagers to alleviate their concerns.

In maths the children have been learning about fractions, decimals and percentages and how we can manipulate these to help us to solve problems- this is something that they have really shone at.

On our world book day dress-up day we enjoyed books with our buddies- great fun was had by all.

All of this and a few days in the snow too- wonderful.
