A wonderful first full week together – Little Wrens

We've had such a wonderful first full week back in Little Wrens! Despite a few wobbly tears, the children have settled beautifully and have filled their days with fun and learning. We loved sharing the story The Colour Monster and the children impressed us with their answers to questions, as well as their fabulous monster drawings full of colour and character. In maths we explored the colours red, yellow and blue, and had great fun sorting, hunting and spotting them in our environment. Outside, the children have been busy crunching leaves, collecting acorns and noticing all the exciting changes that autumn brings. We've also kept active with stop-and-start games, climbing adventures and plenty of happy moments on the bikes and scooters. Rhyme time in phonics has been a joy too, with Jack and Jill quickly becoming a favourite. In our MyHappymind session, we reminded ourselves just how wonderful we all are, and the children have been doing brilliantly with settling into our daily rhythms and routines. To top it all off, Miss Philips popped in earlier this week and was amazed at how beautifully the children were sitting and how eager they were to learn – what a fantastic start, Little Wrens, you really are superstars!
