We have completed our final day and Robinwood and what a spectacular three days we have had! The children have been fantastic and we couldn't have asked for anymore from them.
We started the day with the crate challenge. The last activity that tested our heights was a wobbly challenge. We had to build a crate tower as group whilst standing on top of it. Everyone worked so well as a team showing great communication, respect and encouragement. We all built towers that were 10 crates tall and earns bonus points for showing the Robinwood qualities.
After that, we headed out on to the lake for canoeing. After putting waterproofs on and a buoyancy aid, we went to the lake. We learnt how to hold the oar correctly and then got into the boat. In our teams, we had challenges to complete with the first one being learn how to turn. We played a game of tag, a singing challenge and football. It was great and again it required us to use communication and listening. Even though we got a bit cold, we loved the canoeing.
Our last activity of the day was the dungeon of doom! We started by giving each person a character with a specific character strength that each person shows. It was lovely to hear what strengths the children think the other children have. The children worked exceptionally well as a team to solve the problems to escape the dungeons before Walter arrived. Thankfully, we solved all of the problems just in time but Walter had arrived so we ran as fast as we could and shut the door behind us.
We have had the best three days at Robinwood!
