Day 1: Crag Team

Wow- what a great start! Today we started our adventure with The Dungeon of Doom! In this activity, the children had to escape the deep, dark dungeon where the ghost of Walter gave hints and tips to help the children to solve challenges. The challenges resulted in keys and once we had all the keys we could finally escape. The children had to work together as a team, listening to each other and taking turns. They did this brilliantly.After this, we enjoyed the zipwire- it was lovely to see the way the children really just threw themselves into this. The laughing and giggling could be heard all the way down!Then, we braved the infamous Piranha Pool! Thankfully, we all made it out without a bite! This activity pushed us to work as team, listening to the ideas of others while also being under pressure to escape before the piranhas were let out!
After dinner, we went to the climbing wall. Here some of the children had to push themselves but my goodness they did so well. Everyone beat their personal targets by going that extra mile and they all supported each other with real care and thoughtfulness.
Finally , we ended our day with team games and hot chocolate. Wonderful.
Now the children are all tucked up in bed getting some well earned rest ready for another activity packed day tomorrow.
