Another fun week has whizzed by. It has been full of fun, laughter, giggles and pumpkins! Here is a snapshot of our week...
To support our literacy development, we created a story map and used actions to help us recall and retell the story 'We're Going on a Pumpkin Hunt'. We enjoyed activities to help us to sequence the spooky surprises the characters met on their way and some of us even had a go at creating their own story map to retell the story – wow! In mathematics, we were introduced to number 1. We have been looking at different ways we can represent 1. We have enjoyed lots of activities to support our gross and fine motor development, including, hammering golf tees into pumpkins, using tweezers to pick up pumpkin seeds and using our hands to scoop seeds out of a pumpkin.
In other news, on Wednesday we met Albie and enjoyed a very wet 'Welly Wednesday!'.
Next week, I am looking forward to welcoming our families to our stay and play sessions and we will explore Diwali.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend,
Miss Gregory
