Base 5 News
: March 2019
A huge well done to my Base 5 superstars! You have taken SATs in your stride and absolutely did your best- you are all fabulous.
This week we have also been busy playing rounders — I must say our skills and tactics have come on immensely. Our final score was 13-10 to the boys.
We have also been busy on learning journey, focusing on music this week. We have been listening to some of the 'greats'; Mozart, Tchaikovsky and Chopin to name a few. The children have really enjoyed this and it seems that Chopin is a favourite. Harvey explained one of the tracks as telling a story- it sounds like there is a war, then a funeral and then happiness comes again. Next week we will look at some modern composers and compare.
We have also reviewed our great recommendations for reading books, we really have had some great ones this term.
Then to finish the week we went for a village walk with our buddies, a play in the park all followed by munching some Stonehenge cake made by Max! Oh yes- and we all got achieve awards in assembly. What a lovely week we have been able to have.
Enjoy your weekend and I'll see you all next week.

As well as this, in English we have started a very exciting newspaper...
