This week we have been very busy working on our writing skills in Base 3. The children have been working carefully to edit and final draft a descriptive chapter of our story 'Assassin', where Owen tries to sneak into the Roman camp in order to find Emperor Hadrian.
The children have worked so hard to create a little book for their learning journeys which will be on show at the next sharing opportunity.
As well as this we started to learn about the very impressive Hadrian's Wall and its history. We have learned some amazing facts about it and have started to organise and use this information to begin some non-fiction writing, particularly focusing on using coordinating conjunctions in our sentences. W rare starting to see how to join our ideas appropriately and effectively for the reader. I am very impressed with the children who are helping themselves to learn by using our writing wall in class to help them make greater progress in their writing.
Base 3 should be very proud of their achievements this week and we look forward to our Roman visit to Chester on Monday next week!
