What a lovely, sunny week in Base 3.
This week we have continued with our newspaper writing in English. We used drama to 'interview' the characters that had been affected by the awful events of the drains erupting in Wrenbury. The children thoroughly enjoyed this and gathered some great quotes which we will be including in our newspaper report next week.
In maths we have been finding fractions of amounts. This has challenged us but the children have concentrated, asked questions and helped each other which has resulted in is feeling confident by the end of the week- well done everyone.
In geography we have been working on our own maps of Wrenbury after exploring OS maps of Crewe and Nantwich and exploring the OS symbols that are used within it.
We have also worked on a few learning journey tasks, making our historical reading text seem old and using brusho to make a decorative border for our storm writing. These are looking lovely.
We have all also enjoyed PE in the sunshine this week, enjoyed our lunch clubs where we have been learning about inspiring people and some of us have been busy maypole dancing in readiness for Marbury Merrydays. A lovely week had by all. Enjoy the warm weather this week and I shall see you all on Monday.
