Base 1 News

In Base 1 this week, we have continued our learning about bees! The children have talked about how we can help look after bees to make sure they are able to complete their very important jobs!

Reception children decided to make their very own bug hotel for the bees and have worked hard sequencing pictures showing how they can make a bug hotel. They then used this knowledge to design their own!

Year 1 children focused on creating a bee bath, so the bees can have a drink after all their hard work buzzing from flower to flower collecting pollen and sticky nectar. They followed instruction carefully to create a bee bath to keep in our outdoor area!

Next week, everyone is excited to make a bug hotel! Make sure you keep an eye out for our wonderful creations!
