Future Pathways
Future Pathways
At Wrenbury Primary School, we believe that inclusion is about more than helping children succeed in school; it is about helping them succeed in life.
Our Future Pathways programme, delivered in partnership with Reaseheath College, was established to open doors and broaden horizons, enabling children to explore a variety of future opportunities and pathways. Through first-hand experiences beyond the classroom, selected pupils gain a deeper understanding of the possibilities available to them and develop the confidence to believe that those opportunities are within their reach. Through regular visits, pupils develop confidence, resilience, independence and a greater understanding of the opportunities available to them in the future.
The programme was established to increase confidence, improve engagement and help children see what is possible for their future lives. It forms part of our commitment to making ambitious, child-centred decisions that put the needs of our pupils first and provide opportunities they may not otherwise experience.
The impact of the programme has been significant. Participating pupils have demonstrated improved confidence, wellbeing and engagement, while persistent absence reduced from 20% of pupils involved to 0% during the year of the project.
We are incredibly proud of this innovative partnership and the positive difference it is making to the lives of our children as we continue to open doors, broaden horizons and build successful futures.
"We don't just prepare children for the next stage of education; we prepare them for life."
