Y6 Bikeability

This week has been the Bikeability week! The Year 5s started their bike ability on Tuesday and completed their level 1, ready for level 2 next year.

Year 6 have been working on their level 2 across two days and have been out practising on the roads and learning about how to be safe whilst riding a bike. They also had an extra treat today because the Bikeability instructor arranged for a Fire Engine and the fire fighters to visit them to talk to them about the importance of being safe on their bikes whilst riding on the roads. They also had the opportunity to look inside the truck. The Year 5s got a sneak peek whilst they were out for PE. The year 6 children received a hi-vis scarf to wear whilst riding and some bike lights so they are visible.
