Y5 Bikeability

Today, our Year 5 pupils successfully completed their Level 1 Bikeability course! The children spent the day developing their cycling skills on the playground, learning how to control their bikes safely and confidently.

They practised key skills such as starting and stopping safely, looking over their shoulders, signalling, and using their brakes with control. The instructors were really impressed with how sensible, focused and enthusiastic everyone was throughout the session.

This training is an important first step in helping our pupils become safe and responsible cyclists—ready for Level 2 next year, when they’ll take their skills out onto the roads around school.
