Who will help me to bake some bread?

Who will help me to bake some bread?

“We will, we will!” shouted our excited Little Wrens! Unlike the characters in our story of the week, The Little Red Hen, our children couldn’t wait to get stuck in and help. We added the ingredients, mixed, kneaded and rolled our bread dough, putting all our Dough Disco moves into action! What a fantastic job, Little Wrens! A huge thank you to Mrs Warner for helping us bake our bread. It smelled absolutely delicious!

Alongside our baking adventures, we have been learning all about Harvest. We discovered that harvest means collecting the crops that have been grown and that it is a special time to say thank you to our wonderful farmers for all their hard work. Our story has helped us think about how seeds are planted, cared for as they grow, and eventually picked ready for us to eat. We have also enjoyed printing with corn and creating our very own Little Red Hen crafts.

What a wonderful week of learning so far ! Keep shining, superstars!
