We have had such a busy week!

On Monday we were really good at asking our friends questions about our weekend activities! We then did some fantastic writing about our weekend. We are getting very good at writing a sentence and using our sounds.

We have been enjoying lots of number activities, some of us have been a learning to add objects together and some of us are getting very good at recognising our numbers. We have tried very hard to write our numbers too.

We have talked about what we would like to learn for our topic 'People Who help us' and we have started to learn a 'Dustbin man' song. We got a lovely surprise when a real dustbin lorry came to empty the bins at school!

Some of the photographs that have come into school have been wonderful and the children have enjoyed sharing them with the class. Please send in your photographs as soon as you can. This week we will be writing about them.

Thank you for you donations of baby items, the children have loved playing with them, they have really added some reality to our baby hospital.

We went on a winter walk to spot some of the things that tell us it is winter, and then at the end of the week the ice came! We made a tray of ice and the children loved playing in it. It made us feel cold just watching them! Our 'plastic cup' snowman was at last given a scarf! We will continue the theme of ice, next week when we will make some ice balloons and watch them melt!

It has been great to see lots of the children using their 'froggy' fingers for colouring and writing during busy time. Some of you have done some wonderful writing at home, don't forget to bring it into school to show to the class.

We are getting so good at reading, thank you for your support at home with reading, it really does make a difference.

If you are a 'person who helps us' and are able to come into school and talk about your job to the class, then please book yourself in with one of our team. We have an Ambulance man, a Policeman, a Mechanic & a Veterinary Nurse already! Thank you.

We have another busy week ahead of us, make sure you are early to bed, sleep all night and be ready to 'listen a lot and learn a lot'!

Happy Weekend!

Not only was it very exciting to dress in our sports wear today, we also got to meet a real athlete, Sean Conwy — wow! We learned that he is three — time world record holding endurance athlete and that he is the only person to have ever completed a triathlon the length of Britain — impressive. We then had lots of fun competing in our own sponsored triathlon. Throughout the day, we took part in...
