What a wonderful Welly Wednesday we had in Little Wrens as we celebrated World Bee Day 2026! We shared the story It Starts with a Bee and discovered just how important bees are to our world, especially in the pollination process. We then put on our wellies and bee hats and headed outside to explore nature and see if we could spot any bees. To help entice bees to our environment, we planted seeds in spare wellies. We are very excited to watch them grow and hopefully welcome lots of bees to visit them!
During snack time, we learned all about how bees make honey, their special honey tummies and discovered that honey is basically bee sick – gross but still very yummy! Thankfully, this did not put us off tasting honey for ourselves.
What a buzzing time we had in Little Wrens
