Welcome back Base 1

Welcome back Base 1 – we were super excited to discover that we are going to be based around the theme 'Pirates' this half term! Our class book this week is 'Yo Ho Ho, A Pirating We'll Go' by Kaye Umansky. 

We're setting sail on a fun-filled adventure where we learn lots of exciting new rhyming words! As we follow the pirate crew across the high seas, we discover words that sound alike and make the story come alive--like ship and trip, map and trap, parrot and carrot. Rhyming helps us remember the story and makes reading even more fun. Each page is packed with playful sounds that make us laugh, sing, and shout "yo ho ho!" as we learn. It's a thrilling way to build our word skills while going on a treasure-filled journey!
