Wangari Maathai

We have been exploring and discussing the story of Wangari Maathai, "Trees of Peace". We decided to make a safari park in our Tuff tray using materials we have sourced from Mrs. Winward, Mrs. Cador and other staff members. Come and explore "Masai Mara National Reserve". The children have enjoyed exploring the tuff tray, role playing with the animals and discussing features of the animals. As we have read the stories "Giraffes can't Dance", the children would like to make their own giraffes so we will upload the results of that soon.
We also explored using telescopes to spot the animals on safari.
