Tuesday's Catch Ups
B Cador: May 2020
It's getting warmer and brighter again...we'll be getting the sun-cream out again soon! In the meantime, here are a few catch ups to warm up your evening.
From Victoria's mum...
Hi everyone, Missing you all very much! Lovely to see what you are all up to. Today Emily has made a den in the living room and invited her teddies to chill out and read The Secret Garden with her. Nobody else allowed in! Oh dear mum...but I'm sure the teddies loved Emily's story reading.
I love your den, Emily — it looks really cosy and a great place to enjoy reading a story.
From Becky, Fraser and April's mum...
Hi Bessa, we hope everyone is well. We've had a really fun busy week. We have made a little garden for the birds with the feeders we have made. They seem to be loving them and we have now finished our veggie patch. We've planted potatoes, onions, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, runner beans and strawberries. Let's hope they grow now! We've also been baking. April has been practicing her pencil control and Fraser has been learning more about telling the time. We have also started a project on VE Day and today we have made our own flags and bunting ready to put up on Friday. Yes — you have had a busy week! Lots of feeding, planting, growing, baking and making, Fraser and April! Miss McKinnon (as our history subject lead in school) will be really pleased to see the bunting you have made for VE Day. It looks great. Well done!
I wonder if we can start a collection of story reading pictures to share. We had Izzy engrossed in a book whilst sitting on her trampoline, Ella snuggled under her 'Happy' duvet in the garden and now Emily in her living room den. Where else have you found to read your stories? Do share — I know Mrs Charlesworth would love to see your photos on our catch ups as much as me. Let us know, too, what you have been finding out about VE Day — an important day to celebrate on Friday!
Apologies Anna — yesterday, I forgot to say that I saw you, too, when you were out for a walk with your mum and your dog! It was lovely waving to you.
Keep in touch and stay safe everyone, Bessa

Another busy week has flown by in Base 3. This week, we were amazed by water! We began learning about the water cycle by drinking water that was billions of years old! The water we were drinking may have been sucked up by the trunk of a woolly mammoth or even supped Tutankhamun! The children loved the thought of this and we then learnt about the water cycle — the best recycling system! This...
