Good morning everyone! We had two lovely catch ups yesterday. Thank you Riley and Liv! Enjoy...
From Sophie, Riley's mum...
Hi everyone! We hope everyone is doing okay, nice bit of sunshine today. Riley loves looking at everyone's photo's every evening to see what his friends are up to. We managed to get some baking done today, blueberry muffins and rice krispy marshmellow treats! Riley's been watering his sunflowers & runner beans lots and they're sprouting nicely! Riley's been on TTRS recently too. He says Maths is his favourite subject. Keep smiling everyone. Riley, it's lovely seeing your seeds growing – they take a bit of time don't they and a lot of care but the results will be fantastic! Your baking treats look really tasty – are you enjoying your baking? You and your little sister looked like you were having great fun in your paddling pool!
From Erica, Liv's mum...
Hi everyone! We have been very busy this week with lots of learning and outside play. Liv has continued with her projects, Khan Academy, spellings and TTRS. We have also discovered the Oak National Academy (thanks to the Home Learning ideas on the Wrenbury website) and Livvy has really enjoyed completing lots of activities. This week we visited Buckingham Palace and Livvy collated all the information for her project book. It really was fascinating to see. The weather has been great so we have been doing lots of lovely long walks, discovering new routes and exploring our beautiful village. Livvy continues to practice her front flip on the trampoline as well as round offs, cartwheels, hand and head stands. We decorated a stick 'L' with wool for Livvy's room too. This week we have also been learning about VE Day and Liv made some rock cakes (which were yummy) and decorated some rocks. I have also printed off some word searches and comprehension activities from Twinkl. Hope you all have a lovely bank holiday weekend. Take care and stay safe. Definitely another busy week, Liv! Miss Phillips will be pleased to know that you and Riley are keeping up with your learning too! I'm glad you're finding the Home Learning page useful for ideas to support your learning. I definitely think a HT award will be heading your way for your gymnastic achievements, Liv! I'll use your 'VE Day' photo to mark our school's remembrance of the 75th anniversary of VE Day, as we can't all be together to celebrate.
Enjoy the sunshine today – the weather is changing again on Sunday! Take care and stay safe! Bessa
