Sutton Hoo Artwork

This afternoon, Base 4 had a wonderful time exploring the fascinating discovery of the Sutton Hoo burial. The children were captivated as they learned about the Anglo-Saxon helmet and what it tells us about life, power and craftsmanship in early Britain.

We then brought our learning to life through art, carefully designing and painting our own Sutton Hoo helmets. The children showed fantastic attention to detail, creativity and pride in their work, using what they had learned to inform their designs.
