Base 1 have had a very busy and exciting week exploring the story of our key figure Grace Darling. We have explored drama using freeze frames to act out different parts of the story, as well as building our own scenes using the blocks. Within our provision activities children have also started to explore water paints to paint their own Grace Darling boats.

When we first started to explore our whole school theme 'Water' the children wanted to create a boat role play; however this week the children have extended their interest to pirates! So, we included some pirate costumes for the children to explore on their boat and they have loved it!
