Stories of 150 Years

As part of our 150-year story collection, we are delighted to announce that the school has been gifted the extraordinary diary of John Sheen. Born in Baddiley and a proud former pupil of Wrenbury Primary School, John went on to serve bravely in the First World War. His diary offers a powerful glimpse into both his childhood—when, as a left-handed pupil, he was made to write only with his right hand—and his remarkable life beyond school.

This precious diary is a truly special addition to our heritage collection, and we are honoured to preserve and share such an inspiring piece of our community’s history.
