St George’s Day – Little Wrens

Today we had a wonderful time celebrating St George’s Day! We began by learning about St George and talking about how brave and kind he was. The children shared their own ideas about times they have shown bravery and kindness, which led to some lovely discussions. We then enjoyed listening to the story George and the Dragon and had great fun dressing up and re-enacting the tale. The children loved stepping into role and bringing the story to life!

We also explored St George’s Cross on the flag and took part in creative activities to make our own crosses and designed our own shields.
