Mr Lindop: February 2020
Wrenbury's new KS2 school council met for the first time at lunchtime today to start work on their plans for the rest of the year.
Our reps from Base 3, 4 and 5 discussed their role, how they will listen to their classmates and discuss what they would like to improve the school and how they will work together in meetings.
The council decided they would elect a chairperson who would make sure meetings ran fairly and everyone had their say. Well done to Dom who was voted in as chair by the rest of the council.
Council reps also shared their ideas on sustainability and what they believe a sustainable school would look like. Some fantastic ideas were already brought forward involving reducing food and plastic waste, composting, using more natural light and reducing the carbon footprint of the journey to and from school. After half term, the council will speak to lots of people in the school about our environment and come up with plans to help to reduce our carbon footprint.
Great work, councillors. Fantastic pupil voice!
