Robinwood Stream day 2
Miss Phillips: February 2022
Stream group have had a fantastic second day at Robinwood.
We started the day early and it was a bit on the chilly side outside, but we had a big breakfast and we were raring to go.
During night line first thing this morning, everyone was blind folded, which meant that they had to use their communication skills, both listening and speaking. They had to pass on instructions and stick together as a team which improved throughout the duration of the course.
Following night line, we ventured into the dungeons, where we did not want to be trapped forever. In order to escape, we had to work together as a team to solve a wide range of problems. Again, we continued to develop our communication skills and team work. Luckily, we made it out and no one from Stream team fell into the trap doors.
After a very filling lunch, we put our harnesses on again and went climbing. It was great fun but also a good challenge for all of us. Everyone tried very hard and set themselves a challenge to climb to, which they achieved and more!!
It was then time to go and visit the piranhas in the piranha pool and try to avoid being eaten. This was another problem solving activity to develop cooperation, communication and team work. Luckily, the children worked so well together that they escaped before the piranhas were released. They were however, quite wet after falling in the pool?
Our final activity of this afternoon was archery. The children all learnt the skills to shoot arrows safely and accurately. They did extremely well and all improved throughout the activity.
Another fantastic day, where the children have excelled and made me very proud. They are a credit to Wrenbury Primary School.
