We had a fantastic turnout to our 90th Birthday Lunch today.

A few very big thank yous:

  • To Sharon and Liz for preparing lunch for everyone — we loved the Union Flag lunch boxes.
  • To Gill, Colin, Julie and Jane, supported by fantastic Y6 teamwork, in helping set up
  • To Debbie for the admin
  • To Rev Alison and Liz Gentil for the presentation of a book called The Servant Queen from St Margaret's Church for each of our primary school children to remember this special occasion — a lovely momento.
  • To the parents, grandparents, staff, governors and pre-schoolers for joining us to make it a special and happy community occasion.

    Happy Birthday Your Majesty!

It started with the Remembrance assembly in school and I was so proud of how well everybody sat and listened in the assembly and showed their respect by standing quietly outside while the wreath was layed. We spent time talking about the importance of Remembrance day and why it is a very special day for many people, we then made our own handprint poppies...
