Sorry that we've been a little quiet on here, we have been super busy! We are loving our class story, Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We have created our own story map of the story and have learned some actions to help us recall and retell the story. We love to use our masks as we retell the story. I particularly love hearing the children retell the story during their play. We have talked lots about the characters and the setting of the story and have drawn some wonderful pictures. We have also worked hard to sequence events in the text. In our mathematics sessions, we have sang the 'Goldilocks song' and have been using language to describe size. We have also enjoyed learning about three. In phonics, we have been introduced to the phonemes 't' and 'p', and have continued to play games to support our oral blending skills and clapping out syllables. We are also beginning to recognise our names and say what sound it begins with – wow! We love to be creative and have already started some our Christmas crafts and made decorations to sell our our Christmas fair. In our myhappymind session, we have started a new unit and we are learning that we are all wonderful and special in lots of different ways. During our free play, we have been making porridge. learned how to play a simple board game, used blocks to build a new chair for baby bear and the trains have been a popular choice. We almost built a track the size of Little Wrens, sadly we ran out of pieces!

See, I told you that we have been busy! Thank you for being so wonderful our Little Wrens, you are all super stars!
