Nativity

My goodness, didn't the children perform well at their Nativity this year!

After three performances, (one for school and pre-school; and an afternoon and evening performance for parents / carers/grandparents), they were still smiling and 'giving it their all' with their singing! We were all very proud of you!

A very big thank you to:

  • all the children for learning their lines and singing so well
  • our fantastic KS1 team; Miss Pitchford, Miss Phillips, Mrs Griffin, Mrs Winward, Mrs Taylor, Miss Smith, Miss Rowlands and Mrs Ball and our Fench teacher Madame Sharpe
  • parents and carers for providing, where necessary, costumes and helping the children learn their lines
  • all who came to watch the performances and giving us lovely feedback
  • Pete and June Morris for taking our Nativity photo and helping us use it to fundraise for the benefit of the children

Madame Sharpe commented to me that this year's KS1 Nativity children are the first to have been able to sing 'Vive le vent' ALL the way through with the extra verse. Well done!

We hope that many of our KS1 children will be able to join us at the Carol Service at St Margaret's Church on Tuesday, where they will be singing two of their Nativity songs as part of the service.

Yet another great week in Base 5 with smiling faces and plenty of hard work. We have worked extremely hard with our arithmetic, finding the best method to use and practising our skills. We very much enjoyed retelling the story of Little Red Riding Hood with our own alterations, which made for some very exciting stories. Alongside this, we have also written a non chronological report about...
