B Cador: April 2020
Hello and welcome to the start of the summer term. I hope you all had a lovely Easter holiday, stayed safe while enjoying the glorious weather we were treated to and that helped lock down NOT feel too restrictive. We're ready and raring to go with the start of our summer term daily catch ups.
From Steph, Zara's mum...
Afternoon Mrs Cador, hope you are well and had a nice break. Zara is really missing LWs, but we have been making the most of the sunshine in the garden... she's still trying to find eggs from her Easter egg hunt 🙈 Hope to see you soon
You've been having a lovely time Zara. Easter egg hunts are so much fun, aren't they! Georgie enjoyed hers, too...you never know, you may have one still hidden in the garden! What a lovely reflection in the canal of the trees when you were on your bike ride. I think you are a very lucky girl having such a big art box...I hope you are drawing and colouring lots of amazing pictures — just like your rainbow painting.
From Tracy, Reece's mum...
Easter Holiday Wow, Reece! Your cardboard guitar is fantastic! I think it is really well made. Mr Lindop is going to have a very unusual band of musicians — Jessica playing the carrot recorder and you strumming the cardboard guitar! I wonder what other creatively thought out instruments have been made? Sitting round a fire at night time with Jess — looked lovely; do say 'hi' to you big sister from me. We do miss our past pupils and it's always nice catching up with them. I hope you had a delicious hot chocolate like Issacc and Courtney- Mae too!
From Michelle, Henry's mum...
Tasted better than they look! Hope your all safe and well Great baking, Henry! I'm sure they did taste delicious-well done!
From Erica, Liv's mum...Livvy wants to say a big thank you to Miss Phillips for the letter. She loved reading it out loud to me and was so pleased you mentioned her. After reading the letter she decided she wanted to write a story which she'll send once it's finished. Livvy is really happy because she has got over 100 000 points in Khan Academy and her avatar changed again. Today Max and Liv baked a carrot cake without any help (apart from taking it out the oven) and I have to say, it tastes better than any cake I've made! Liv has also been on TTRS and completing her light and Celts work while still enjoying playing in the garden and going for walks. She and Laura have been hiding letters to each other on a walk we both do. Hope everyone is well. We are all missing our friends and the routine of school and work. Take care You've been really busy again, Liv. I love the idea that you and Laura are writing to each other. Alfie N, Maisie and Zach have all sent letters to their teachers. Penny sent a postcard to Miss McKinnon and Anna made a birthday card for Mrs D...lovely keeping in touch! Keep up the great work and play! Another great photo Erica...can we include this one in our 'Wrenbury' catalogue, too, please?
From Hayley, Esme and Libby's mum...
Sunday we had a lovely walk in the fields to see what the farmers are growing. Another lovely photo of the countryside around our village and, of course, the girls! Thank you.
So tonight's catch up has Reece, Henry and Liv all sharing their baking...I do think we'll have to organise another Great Wrenbury Bake Off or simply a Bring And Buy A Piece Of Cake sale, once we're back at school — you're all getting very good at it! Watch out, Miss Phillips — you've got competition! A big thank you to all our families for sharing their news and photos and brightening up the start of our week . Take care, stay safe and we'll catch up again tomorrow! Bessa
