The weather was glorious and drew lots of people to Marbury Merry Days for a fun-filled, community afternoon. Following the flyover of a Spitfire and Hurricane, the Wrenbury school families gathered around the maypole on the church green, accompanied by other bystanders to watch the school children's performance. The onlookers watched and clapped as the KS2 children danced beautifully, creating 'Spider webs' and 'Plaits'. A t the end of the performance, previous Y6 children, younger siblings, parents and even grandparents had a try at maypole dancing. A wonderful afternoon enjoyed by all.
A very big thank you to Mrs Charlesworth and Mrs Davies (Rhys' mum) for helping with the practices; Mr Cador for helping with the maypole and music and to Oliver Caunce and Tom Robinson for lending a hand, too. A big thank you to all our school families for being part of the event. Looking forward to next year!
