Base 5 have had a treat this week. Mrs Charlesworth has been to teach them. We have been exploring how the Germans advanced during WWII and noticed that Switzerland remained neutral throughout the war. As we explored this further, using topographical maps, we noticed that the majority of the land in Switzerland is at high altitudes. It is a very mountainous country, which would have made it very difficult to travel through during the war. We have created a topographical map to show the elevation of the land paying attention to the position of the mountains. Once they are painted, they will look fantastic and represent the landscape well.
