Countryfile provided a wonderful opportunity to bring the Y6 children's current learning in art, science and computing together by watching the finale of the Green Space Dark Skies project: an inspirational installation art project culminating on four peaks in the four nations that make up the UK.
The children have been exploring installation art (Brave Colour theme) and using Crumble Coding to programme LEDs within their artwork as well as focussing on light in their science work.
It was lovely to be able to showcase through the film how different aspects of their learning are relevant and connected and also inspire the children with wider opportunities available in the workplace: lighting technicians; drone controllers; film making; composers and musicians and dance choreographers. The film also showcased our wonderful mountain landscapes, explored their history and geography and entertained us.
