Magnet investigations in Year 3

In Year 3 the children have been busy little scientists investigating different magnet types, including horseshoe, ring and bar magnets. They made predictions about each magnet’s strength and then planned and carried out an investigation to test the strength using paperclips. Lots of fun has been had this half term exploring magnetic fields and the invisible forces at play. We have been very engaged and have a great understanding of the opposite poles of north and south, and how opposite poles attract and like poles repel.
