A lovely surprise!
B Cador: December 2017
Having spent time watching the children enjoy playing in our wonderful winter wonderland at Wrenbury at playtime, I received, in the post, a lovely surprise.
It was a parcel of four books: The Roaring Rainbow; Shadow on the Run; Alligator Snaps (Poems for children) and The Sleeping Force. Included in the parcel was a handwritten message from the books' author, Dennis Carter. It read:
Bessa, Happy Christmas — you seem to be nicely settled into your headship. Lovely website. D
Having watched Dennis weave his literary magic with a number of my previous classes at Wybunbury, you can imagine how lovely it was to open up the parcel this morning. Thank you Dennis!
I'm looking forward to sharing his magic with words with the children at Wrenbury!

The children loved the thought of this and we then learnt about the water cycle — the best recycling system! This...
