Mrs Turner: October 2020
Over the last few weeks in Little Wrens we have been learning all about Autumn. The children enjoyed raking up the leaves into a big pile so they could take turns and jump in! We have been creative and made leaf man pictures, leaf rubbings using wax crayons, leaf printings with paint and clay hedgehogs. In mark making we used split peas and flour, whilst in the mud kitchen (minus the mud) we had acorn soup and herbal tea.
This week we have focused on harvest and how different foods are harvested and we give thanks for all the food.
We used maize to roll in paint to create nice patterns for our display and now we are looking forward to exploring the pumpkins inside over the next few days!
