This week has flown by.
We have been so engaged with our story, 'The Leaf Thief' this week. We have shared this story daily. The children have shown super listening skills and have been able to answer questions about the story. We have been working hard to sequence the story saying what happens, First, Then, Next and Finally. We have also been introduced to language such as, title, character and setting.
We have been super busy in other areas of our learning too. We created line patterns in our mathematics sessions. In phonics, our rhyme of the week was, 'Down at the Station'. We have been learning how to roll a ball during our dough disco sessions. We have been crafty and have created autumn wreaths and an autumn tree collage, we have learned how to hold and use knives safely to chop autumn apples, hunted for autumn colours on 'Welly Wednesday' and we discovered how amazing are brains are in our first Myhappymind session.
Next week, we will explore Harvest. The story that will lead our story will be, The Little Red Hen by Liz Pichon.
Have a wonderful weekend Little Wrens, enjoy your autumn treasure hunt. I shall look forward to sharing your finds next week.
