What a busy week we are having in Little Wrens. Our learning this week has been based around bees and we have been learning just how important bees are to our world. The story leading our learning has been Bee: Nature's Tiny Miracle. We followed Bee as he drank sweet nectar and, on his journey for food, transferred pollen from flower to flower. We also learned about the waggle dance and discovered that bees have two tummies! The children have enjoyed painting and drawing bees, creating bees with playdough and filling and emptying bee hives with pom poms to help develop their fine motor skills. We have also been very excited to take part in World Bee Day today and celebrate these amazing little creatures.
In maths, we are recapping 2D and 3D shapes and talking about their different properties. In phonics, our N1s have continued to explore rhyme in words and our N2s are developing their listening skills. Keep up the good work Little Wrens!
