The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch

In Base 1 this week we have started reading the story 'The Lighthouse Keepers Lunch' and have focused on creating our own story maps to retell the story, as well as spotting all the tricky words!

The children loved making their lighthouses at home, so we included lighthouse junk modelling in the outdoor area to continue their learning. They selected the resources they needed and used their prior knowledge of joining materials to create their own mini lighthouses.

In History we've been looking at the RNLI and the history of lifeboats. We used different sources to compare lifeboats from the past and present and discussed the changes we could see.
