Incredible poetry

We wanted to share this insightful poem written by one of our past pupils who is now in Year 7. It is lovely to see what our past pupils are achieving at high school. Our children may move on but they will always be part of our Wrenbury family.

The Weight of It All

The turning of the pages
The clicking of the pens
Ticking of the clock
And the beating of the hearts
Thinking of the answers
The sweating of the palms
The tests they are in
The expectations for the future
The anxiety it causes

Models in the magazine
Hours in the mirror
Always in the gym
And comparing in class
Hiding in the toilets
Food in the bin
The need of perfection
The expectations of society
The world that we live in

Waking in the night
Hushed tones in the distance
Pacing in the hall
The footsteps on the floor
The fear in their eyes
The worry of the unknown
The hope they get better
The hope they are ok
