Geography in Base 5

This week in our geography we have been using google maps to look at where historic jails were located and why they were located there. To understand this, we compared historic jails locations to the location of modern jails. We were then able to understand why historic jails were in cities and towns rather than in the countryside. We had some great conversations with children building on ideas and challenging.
