We have been busy planning and writing our poems in Base 3 for the past week or so, and have today had the exciting opportunity to share our final pieces in our Class assembly this morning. We harnessed our experiences from our own railway carriage journey, from our day travelling from Wrenbury to Crewe Railway Station, and then developed our own versions of Robert Louis Stevenson's "From a Railway Carriage".
The children should be so proud of themselves. We have had oracy coaching lessons this week, practising our best delivery of our poetry. This included using appropriate voices, clear pronunciation and speed of voice, as well as intonation.
The smiles and pride on their faces made me feel very warm inside after their assembly. Hard work really pays off, well done Base 3!
