Friends of Wrenbury School FOWS AGM — 8th October 2021
Present: Rachael Walker, Victoria Robinson, Heather Caunce, Lauren Ridgway, Stephanie Lahey, Georgi Warburton, Emma Sedgewick, Arrabella Rose, Sarah Goodwin, Bessa Cador
The purpose of the meeting is to;
1. Elect key roles to the following positions;
Chairman, Vice Chairman, Treasurer and Secretary
2. Welcome any new members to the committee
Victoria Robinson gave an overview of the aims of FOWS and the role the charity plays in fundraising for the School for new members.
Sarah Goodwin gave an update on this year's fundraising efforts to the committee, detailing a total of £16,000 raised during the last year. This income was generated from the FOWS Facebook selling page.
Electing roles
· Chairman — currently Joe Kelly. Joe is stepping down from his position as he no longer has children at the School.
o Proposed Sarah Goodwin — first by Rachael Walker, seconded by Heather Caunce
· Vice Chairman — currently Rebecca Grandison. Rebecca is stepping down due to personal commitments.
o Proposed — Georgi Warburton — first by Sarah Goodwin, seconded by Victoria Robinson
· Treasurer — currently Sarah Goodwin. Sarah is stepping down from this position to become Chairman.
o Proposed — Rachael Walker — first by Lauren Ridgway, seconded by Victoria Robinson
· Secretary - currently Rachael Walker. Rachael is stepping down from this position to become Treasurer.
o Proposed — Victoria Robinson — first by Rachael Walker, seconded by Stephanie Lahey.
Future Events
We agreed that it was unlikely that there would be any large scale school events within the remainder of this year due to the rising Covid situation but would look to evaluate this position at the next meeting.
