Our first school trip was just utterly magical. The excitement from the children as we walked to the train station was wonderful to observe. Then, it was time for the train ride. We bought our tickets from the conductor on the train and enjoyed our short journey to Nantwich. Once in Nantwich, we walked to the church and enjoyed spending time looking at the magnificent building. It was lovely to see the nativity scene and practise some lines from our own nativity. Next, it was time to visit the library. On our walk to the library, we took a walk around the post office and we even saw our very own Wrenbury postman at the sorting office – wow! Once at the library, Hillary from the library read not 1, but 3 Christmas stories to us, then it was time for us to explore the library and choose our own stories to share. After that, we sat and ate our lunch. We then walked to Chatwins bakery to collect our gingerbread snowman and finally, we caught the train back to Wrenbury. Back in school we enjoyed a nice cup of milk and sat and ate our cookie – yummy!
The adults wanted to share a magical moment from our day. Whilst stood outside Chatwins, some children started to sing. Some passers by stopped to listen and were so impressed that they asked for an encore. The children happily obliged and sang "Twinkle, Twinkle" to their adoring fans
It really has been a wonderful day, the children behaved impeccably – what superstars you all are!
Sleep well tonight everyone, I know the adults will!
