Exploring Autumn – Little Wrens

This week, Little Wrens are exploring the signs of autumn! We have begun by sharing the lovely story Autumn by Ailie Busby. We have been looking closely at the pictures, exploring new vocabulary and talking about how leaves change colour and fall to the ground.

We have also been on our very own leaf hunt, looking carefully at the different colours, shapes and sizes of the leaves we found. The children have been using lots of descriptive language, including spiky, pointy, long, crispy, big and small, to describe their discoveries.

Back in Little Wrens, we are continuing our autumn exploration through creative activities. We have been enjoying printing with leaves and making our very own leaf crowns.

We are having lots of fun discovering the wonderful signs of autumn together!
