Canal and River Trust Assembly

Today, the whole school attended a very important assembly delivered by the Canal & River Trust all about staying safe around water.

The children learned about the dangers that canals, rivers and reservoirs can present, as well as the important steps we can take to keep ourselves and others safe near water. They discussed how water can often be colder and deeper than it looks, the importance of staying away from edges, and what to do if they ever see somebody in trouble.
