Base 5's Sewing

We have had another great week in Base 5 with netball competitions, diggers delivering pipes, swimming, using the new forest area and plenty of lovely earning.

We have continued with our sewing this week and our sewing kits are taking shape. The children have blown me away with their concentration and value that they have shown in their sewing, which is not an easy task. It was lovely to see the different ideas that everyone had. Our finished sewing kits should really help us to work towards reducing clothing waste by repairing clothes instead of throwing them away.

We started some of our RE learning this week. We are learning about Islam and why the Qur'an is important to Muslims. We had so many questions about the religion, the artefacts and the Qur'an. This shows how much our children are engaged in their learning.
