Base 5's first week back

What a fabulous first week back Base 5 have had! Everyone is working exceptionally hard and pushing themselves to be the best that they can be. 

We have started our new class text in English and we are hooked! We have been preparing to write the next part of the story as the boy is taken into the jungle on an elephant after a tsunami. We have been exploring descriptive language that is going to make our story exciting. 

In geography, we have exploring natural disaster data and presenting this in different ways including line graphs and maps. We have asked so many questions about the impact of various natural disasters around the world and talked about why the impact is greater in some countries compared to others.

In Science, Year 6 completed their writing about the Binomial System and Year 5 were presenting data from their investigations. 

We all enjoyed a music assembly lead by Nantwich Concert Band – the children were intrigued and asked excellent questions.
